If a career in performing arts appeals to you, Motherwell College is one of Scotland’s most experienced training providers in the field and has an excellent track record in helping students into employment as well as higher education.

Students can expect to participate in a number of professional performances throughout their course of study and will also have access to our custom-built drama studio.
In 2006, students from the department delivered the North Lanarkshire Council professional touring pantomime.
Earlier in the year, students also performed in Jekyll and Hyde in Motherwell Theatre as part of the section’s mission to provide realistic assessment experiences.

Working in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council, this allows dance students to utilise the professional dance studios in the newly-refurbished Hamilton Town House.

These partnerships with both North and South Lanarkshire Councils allow the College to utilise professional venues and allows the local authorities to draw on a wealth of talent for special events and productions which together enhance the overall student experience.
